I'm Dale Marsten, and this site exists because buying final expense calls is confusing, and most of the information out there is written by people trying to sell you something.
I've spent years around direct response marketing, the kind where you can't hide from the numbers. Either the phone rings or it doesn't. Either the call turns into an appointment or it doesn't. That's the lens I bring here. I'm not a vendor, and I'm not running a call center. I'm just someone who's spent a lot of time thinking about what makes inbound call generation actually work for the agent on the other end of the line, trying to make a living.
This site is my attempt to write the plain-language guide I wish existed when I first started paying attention to this corner of the insurance world. What are final expense calls, how are they generated, what separates a decent lead source from a bad one, what questions should you ask before you spend a dollar, and what should you realistically expect once the calls start coming in.
I don't have a proprietary system to sell you or a case study full of numbers I can't back up. What I have is a habit of asking "does this actually make sense" about marketing claims, and a willingness to write it down plainly instead of dressing it up.
If you're an agent trying to figure out whether buying calls is worth it for your business, or how to tell a good source from a bad one, that's who this is for. I'm writing it from the agent's side of the desk, because that's the side that matters.
